Can you feel the pain?

It is a dull sensation, your heart breaking, like the sound of a pebble dropping on the sand. A shattering, a tearing apart, there is nothing shrill or grandiose about the sensation. It is merely an internal realization that you have been used by a person you love and trust.

It’s better being the master of your own destiny rather than slave of someone else’s. You realize you have to stop crossing oceans for someone when that someone wouldn’t step in a puddle for you.

It was as if a tiny crack had opened somewhere in me and was growing, tearing me to pieces. If I had simply been angry, I might have found a way to calm, but I had no idea how to be back together once I fell apart.

Im afraid Im still trying to find that balance, between everyone wanting a piece of me. There's a huge difference between a relationship requiring effort and a relationship being hard. Relationships aren't supposed to be hard. It takes effort to listen and communicate and understand and respect your partner, but it's not supposed to be a constant battle to get them to give you the same courtesy. And honestly? If they won't even give you the bare minimum it's not going to ever be a healthy and fulfilling relationship.

I think unconditional love is a beautiful thing, so long as we don't use it against ourselves. I can love all of humanity, but that doesn't mean that I will put up with all of humanity. Yes they may well awaken, but we should never postpone any part of our own life waiting for that to happen. I lost myself Unconditional love begins at home, with the protecting and honoring of our own unique self.
