The mountain Becco di Mezzodi and its reflection. On a lucky autumn morning after I spent the night at the mountain hut closeby, I was able to capture how the larches bathed in the first sunlight. The lake was so calm, I didn't even have to use a tripod. One of the most beautiful sceneries I ever witnessed.

"Sea of Larches" is a photography series portraying autumn in the Dolomites. In Autumn, larches turn orange and the atmosphere of the Dolomites changes completely. What was stunning already in summer, becomes even more stunning. The landscape turns into a Sea of Larches.
