Nautical Twilight Trees is a passion project of mine that I have been working on for 4 and a half months between August and November of 2021. These pieces were taken at the time of the day where the sun is 12 degrees below the horizon. Living in an area with Bortle 1-2 skies, I was able to not only get the remnants of the sun, but also glimpses of the Milky Way all in to a single image. This project was a healing mechanism for me as my home state of Victoria, Australia endured the harshest lockdowns in the world, so going out to shoot these in between the lockdowns helped me mentally.
