04/18 - LIGHTPAINTING ROBOT was created during the research work-in-progress at the robotic laboratory of UfG Linz in collaboration with Prof. Braumann where we were working on an art installation for the first creative robotics exhibition at Ars Electronica Center. The Kuka robot is armed with a programmed LED pixelstick and performs a seamless looping action. Lightpainting with flash shot in one go. This image is part of the 18 X LIGHTPAINTING series which contains my favorite eighteen lightpainting shots from the past 18 years of my lightpainting journey.
“Since I started lightpainting back in 2003, my photo-journey embraced and involved all kinds of lightpainting techniques - from conceptual to experimental, from macro to portrait to extremesports to largescale projection, from blades to orbs, from spirograph to pixelstick to diy led-plotted lightpaintings from black and white to color from static to animated styles and from ABC to XYZ - and this journey has yet not come to an end, as there´s still so much more to explore and discover. This selection of images is the 18 top notch from my past 18 years of creating lightpainting art.
