About: Bundjalung is the name of the tribal area of the first nation people in the far northern area of New South Wales & part of southeast Queensland Australia. The best know town in this area is Byron Bay, or to the locals 'the Bay'. I have lived in this area for many, many years. The motivation for writing this piece was to try & capture the drama, the adventure & the isolation of what this area once was & still is in certain places. And then to marry that past (didgeridoo) with the present sound of the acoustic guitar. So I tuned my guitar down to what they call dropped 'D' & this track emerged.
