The powerful fiery red fabric dominates this KR piece called “Lava,” paired with prints of charcoal black and hot yellow specks forming interesting patterns similar to the slope of a fuming volcano with a flowing lava, accentuating the gown’s tail. Interestingly, this piece is created with contrast of the icy blue patterns while baring the active volcano’s main vent to its bodice - creating a visual balance that complements its daring cut. Iceland is known as the Land of Fire and Ice, which currently has an active volcano in the Reykjanes Peninsula, close to the capital city of Reykjavik, making it the longest volcanic eruption Iceland has witnessed in more than 50 years.
