The Hawizeh Marshes are a complex of marshes that straddle the Iran–Iraq border. The marshes are fed by two branches of the Tigris River in Iraq and Karkheh River in Iran. The Hawizeh marsh is critical to the survival of the Central and Hammar marshes, which also make up the Mesopotamian Marshes, because they are a refuge for species that may recolonize or reproduce in the other marshlands. The Hawizeh Marshes are drained by the Al-Kassarah. This river plays a critical role in maintaining the marshes as a flow-through system and preventing it from becoming a closed saline basin.

In the south west of Iran and the south east of Iraq, the Hawizeh and Hammar Marshes are made up of many smalls cities. These cities in the marshes are part of both countries with no border that separates them. So the people can move between Iraq marshes and Iran by the small boats. The city of Marshes were built on water. The people who live there have very simple lives. They make their houses of the reeds of the water without, electricity or cars and they don’t have an education they have just simple lives. The population depends on nature. They fish, hunt, cultivate and breed buffalo. The people use small boats called Al-Mshhove to move.

Buffalo, despite their rough appearance, have a very calm and tame temperament, and raising these animals in Hur al-Azim (one of the Hawizeh Marshes) is one of the most important sources of income and occupations, and perhaps the most important occupation of the natives living around Hur in Iran.

This large animal can not withstand a lot of heat and direct sunlight, so it often spends a lot of time in the water, and in the absence of water, direct sunlight completely Distress this animal. Residents number of buffaloes have been lost in recent days due to water shortages and the drying up of parts of Hur.

Sudden changes in ambient temperature have adverse effects on buffaloes and may lead to pneumonia and even death. In the village of Abulbooh in the city of Hoveyzeh in Iran, there have been reports of symptoms in several buffaloes.

Thirsty and restless buffaloes do not howl, and only in a large march in a row in search of water do they turn their heads to and fro to hear the smell of water.

In this piece, you can see the Arabic word (ماء) , which is pronounced "Maa" and means water, and this buffalo is asking for water.

Lithography is a method of printing originally based on the immiscibility of oil and water. The printing is from a stone or a metal plate with a smooth surface. It was invented in 1796 by the German author and actor Alois Senefelder, Iranian lithography was imported to Iran in 1845 by Abbas Mirza. Nowadays this art has become a forgotten style.

Iranian lithography is a folk art that I have combined pop art with.
