Nyango was sold as a pet to a missionary before being rescued by Limbe Wildlife Center. Thought to be a rare ‘cross river gorilla’, a species for which it is believed there are only 200 or 300 left. She was blind in one eye but extremely strong she approached me and threw mud at me and my camera.
