The foundational blocks of our existence are that of a dual nature. Light/darkness, male/female, good/evil, hot/cold—the list is as long as you have time for. “As above, so below.”

Hathor, the cow goddess of earth and maternal care, the height of femininity. Horus, her partner, the male falcon god of the sky and pharaoh kings. Both deities are represented here in unity—a powerful combination representing the two sides of each of us accepted as a whole.

This Ring is a Totem to remind us of the innate balance this duality creates in our lives, in our minds, and in our souls. All of us have both sides of these spectrums within—though many choose not to accept that idea, sometimes subconsciously.

We all know and (surely) judge examples of people who choose to reject pieces of themselves—but do we acknowledge that same rejection in ourselves? Do we even recognize as we shame ourselves or fear how we will be received for embracing those other halves?

The truth of the matter is visible from the microcosms of the earth to the macrocosms of the universe: where there is dark, there is light—and vice versa.
