Artist: Ryan Bourque Location : C-scape Dune Shack in Cape Cod National Sea Shore Type: Short film
Inner nature is a solo performance, and self produced short film that was written, directed, acted, edited, and shot all by the artist Ryan Bourque, during a 5 day immersive stay at the C Scape Dune shack. It is 1 mile off the grid, in a desolate dune landscape. Ryan single handedly shot and acted in every scene, totally in isolation and while also trying to survive a week with no running water, electricity, and contact with the outside world and completely exposed to the natural elements that surrounded him. Premise: A man wakes up on a beach and stumbles upon an isolated shack in the middle of a deserted Dune landscape. There he meets another guy (also played by Ryan Bourque) who turns out to be a reflection of the man's own ego.
Through editing and camera techniques Ryan is seen acting in scenes as two different characters reflecting different sides of one personality...his own.

The artist Ryan Bourque wrote, directed, shot, acted in this film while staying at the shack for 5 days as a part of the residency program through the Provincetown Compact. The land on which it sits first and always home to the Wampanoag people. Eugene O'neal, Jackson Pollack, Jack Kerouac, JFK and more are some of the people that have spent time in these shacks that live on the dunes.
Now he takes the festival bound film through the post production phase by editing, sound designing, and scoring the music for the film in his Brooklyn Production studio.
