'The series is a surreal take on my feelings towards living in America or a foreign country on a non-permanent visa. It is a subtle commentary on the emotions felt being treated as an outsider, often selecting between Residential or Non-Residential options on forms and applications, and the constant struggle in obtaining freedom in the ‘land of the free.’ The characters in the series are guiding each other into becoming the proper ‘alien’ and following the rules until one day becoming free of them, but not really, because they will still be regarded as aliens forever.' -Manavi Singh
