Throughout this entire pandemic we’ve all been forced to wait around, looking for some light at the end of the never ending tunnel - and now we can start doing things again I feel like I’m in a constant state of running out of time. Wanting to do everything and nothing at the same time. It’s a weird one, because I put pressure on myself to make as much work as possible, and as I haven’t been able to recently I beat myself up because I’m not utilising the time I do have. It’s stupid, because in this state the creative flow is never going to feel organic, it’s never going to fall into place. So basically, this piece is a reminder to myself and anyone that wants to listen, to not force yourself to do too much, stay patient with yourself and allow things to happen when they need to happen. Be proactive when you can be, sure, but don’t overwhelm yourself because that’s where I feel I’ve been recently.

All original paintings, cover image is "I Am Unbalanced But I Feel My Soul". The majority of these pieces have been overpainted so now exist as new compositions as this is a huge part of my practice, amending and developing pieces to suit my current mood; so to give these timestamps an immortal place on the blockchain feels right.
