The two square portraits created for each subject are multiplied and arranged in a grid-like pattern, forming a chequered surface. In the video animation, various square surfaces are montaged, showcasing different arrangements of the portraits. The positions of the two portraits alternate and swap, creating a dynamic visual experience. With these works Morucchio continues to explore and reinterpret Andy Warhol's Pop portrait aesthetics begun in 2019 with the series of physical Puzzling Warhol works.

The project involves coloring and transforming the original photographic portraits of the chosen figures, recreating them with intricate butterfly wing pieces.

A selection of characters includes Marilyn Monroe, Mao Zedong, and Muhammad Ali—individuals whom Warhol himself depicted in his portraits nearly half a century ago.
