One of the most beautiful moments of my life was on my last day in Rio de Janiero. I planned a sunset helicopter ride as the last thing on my itinerary before catching the red eye back to North Carolina. I hopped in the chopper and it was a bout a 15 minutes ride along the coast of RJ to Christ he Redeemer. As sun crept behind the mountains the rays filled in behind this "Wonder of the World" creating a surreal moment and a scene I'l never forget. It only lasted for a few minutes before the sun went behind the mountains. We made a final loop around the statue and followed the coastline back to the airport. When we landed, I had this indescribable feeling of excitement and energy -- it was spiritual. I hopped in an uber and rode across Rio to the international airport and was on the next flight back to the states.

Part of my mission as a photographer is to capture and collect rare experiences. I've traveled the world, climbed mountains and have spent hours, days and sometimes weeks searching for beautiful scenes. Along that journey, there have been handful of times that go beyond being a simply beautiful photograph, and stand out as extraordinary moments of my story. This is a collection of my favorite memories, the moments when the universe aligned perfectly and I was fortunate enough to be standing in the right place at the right time with my camera in hand to capture it.
