Technological advancements in optics and imaging have profoundly impacted human perception, enabling us to visualize the world beyond the limitations of the naked eye. This expanded vision has been a central focus for Sarah Meyohas, who often works with holography, photography, micro-lens arrays, optics and augmented reality in her practice. In this still life, she centers one of the most common subjects in art history—the flower—using the earliest visual technology: drawing. For this body of work, the artist developed a plotter to mechanically reproduce images with pastels and colored pencils. This token functions as a certificate of authenticity for the original drawing.
