One year.. This is the time I had to wait to do this picture.

The first time I heard about this lake, I was still living in Paris, and I was in search of beautiful places in France for photography.

Few weeks later I left Paris to work during winter in the region. I was sure that I'll be able to shoot the lake but it was totally covered by snow. First fail.

Few months and a lockdown later, I was back for the summer season and was sure that I'll be able to shoot it but being too early in the season, the lake was still frozen.

During the high period of the summer the lake was visited by 1K tourists per days, so I decided to wait for less people.

Finally the day came, and I reached the lake. A wonderful mountain lake but.. the sky was totally covered and no way to see any mountains around. After a wet night and back in the valley, I felt like it was too bad to give up now, so I picked up my bag and get back up to the lake for a second night, and that was really worth it !
