I love camping amongst the beautiful Colorado landscapes, and one of my favorite locations is Dillon Lake. For a while, the sunset was really quite dull and colorless, but then something magical happened. About 10 minutes after the official time of sunset, an event I call “after burn” took full force. The sky turned to pure fire, and having been caught so off guard, I only had the time to shoot the scene from my campsite. Luckily I found a nice spot, so everything turned out beautifully.
