My long-time photography project "La Solitude" is looking at our loneliness in social places, streets, or everyday life situations. This photo is showing us a lonely man sitting outside of a coffee shop what we call "Kahvehane" in Turkish that old and young people stay for long conversations about daily life and play card games or backgammon. The man outside is contrasted with the inside social life, that shown here by a man inside looking happy and making conversation with someone.
