I took this photo in 2010, it's my family sharing a moment on the Paris Metro with a kind stranger. It was swiped from my Flickr account and became a meme taglined NO ONE IS BORN RACIST. That invited years of hateful comments & personal attacks. In 2019 we searched for and reconnected with the stranger, exchanging stories and experiences. Our shared trauma repaired by human connection.
