I was nine years old when I lost my mom. It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever experienced. After her passing I found a box of old polaroids, including one of her in her twenties standing in front of the infamous Statue of Liberty Replica in Las Vegas. Years later, in my own twenties, I’d be in that same city for the first time watching a close friend climb around the same structure my mom stood in front of in that polaroid. This piece is dedicated entirely to her; all the memories she left behind, and the way she still inspires me to this day.
