As I was boarding my flights to Australia, someone had shared a small local news article about colors popping up in a desert that hadn't seen rain of this magnitude in over 100 years. What is normally a dry and hot place, was flooded and thriving with new life. On that 16 hour flight, I decided to forgo the tourist attractions of the cities to journey out to a region that few people go to even when it's safe to travel to.

Despite my nomadic life on the road, I know for certain that if it weren't for Robert´s bravely letting a traveling elf hop into his Outback pimped car, I would not have been able to get these shots.
