"Saint George" was taken in November 2021 in Lyon, France along the Saône. After almost two years of break from international travels as a result of the pandemic, in November of 2021, I took my first trip to France and Switzerland, which included 2 days in the city of Lyon. This photograph was taken on the first evening after a day of exploring the city on foot and before I had met up with my friends for dinner. Standing across the river from Saint George Church of Lyon, I found myself tuning out the busy rush hour around me and enjoying the calmness in the river and the dancing clouds that saturated the sky.
The Artist's Cut - II is the second instalment in The Artist's Cut collection of photographs from cities across the world by Sukrit Srisakulchawla. These photographs are 1/1 editions taken across the span of 8 years from 2015 until 2022. Since 2015, I have had the privilege of using my photography as a means to explore and discover the environment I find myself in when travelling. This collection is dedicated and curated to represent those subtle moments throughout my trips, to unplanned shots, lucky finds, and most of all the priceless memories they contain.
