"Venice Beach" was taken in March 2015 in Los Angeles. I decided to visit the west coast city during my spring break as it was somewhat of an escape from the gruelling Boston winter, and spent the week just exploring various neighbourhoods. On my first night, I had made my way to Venice beach to spend the evening and sunset there and where I stumbled into this composition just as the colours started to saturate the skies and the shore. As the lights from the beachfront stores started to light up and strong gusts of winds blew the sand across the beach, the scene filled with a strong vibrancy unlike I had ever seen before.
The Artist's Cut - II is the second instalment in The Artist's Cut collection of photographs from cities across the world by Sukrit Srisakulchawla. These photographs are 1/1 editions taken across the span of 8 years from 2015 until 2022. Since 2015, I have had the privilege of using my photography as a means to explore and discover the environment I find myself in when travelling. This collection is dedicated and curated to represent those subtle moments throughout my trips, to unplanned shots, lucky finds, and most of all the priceless memories they contain.
