In this at-scale ‘test pieces’, created as proof-of-concepts for corporate clients, Diez highlights aspects of common geometric shapes, including polyhedra, by disassembling them into their faces and surfaces in ways often not reflected on. In this way the unfamiliar becomes the familiar and the strictly defined and mathematics driven world is pulled into the abstract world of art.
