Commander Corgi on the SOL is a 16 megapixel still image depicting a spacefaring pup, under heavy fire, in the act of defending his home using the station's robotic defense batteries. The light and shade are a combination of path tracing, digital painting and procedural manipulation. I composed the final image from dozens of separate elements custom designed for this project.

Gummy LeWitt #1 is a 36 megapixel static image depicting a river of giant gummy worm candies inspired by the original instructions of painter and conceptual artist Sol LeWitt's installations Wall Drawing 1152 and Wall Drawing 1131. The light and shade are produced by path tracing. I hand-sculpted the worms and detailed their surfaces with a hybrid of procedural and hand-painting methods.

Ocula Dentata is a 16.7 megapixel still image depicting an enormous, bloody-toothed creature flying through an inferno of fire and arrows. I performed much of the sculpture, painting, shading and compositing work before a live audience between 2013 and 2021. Most of the light and shade were created with path tracing but the final image includes stock and hand painted effects as well.

Tales of Fruit #1 is a 665 kilopixel/frame, ten second looping video depicting a cyclopean pear sealed in a jar full of dripping condensation. The base light and shade are rendered using path tracing. I created the droplets and many of the surfaces using custom pattern generators. The final animation is composed of two images blended using methods typical of visual effects production.
