Every NFT collection says its art is generative. Most mean a script that
stacked PNG layers somebody drew in Photoshop. This one means something
narrower and, we think, more interesting: there are no source images. There is
a program, about two thousand lines of it, that draws a computer — and 6,502
numbers to feed it.
The grid. Each machine is authored on a 128×128 framebuffer and upscaled
nearest-neighbour to whatever size you need. Nothing is filtered, nothing is
vector-scaled, nothing is upscaled by a model. A pixel is where it is because a
line of code put it there. Zoom in on a 2048px render and you are looking at
the same 16,384 authored pixels, eight times bigger.
