"On Pause" is a series inspired by the imagery and texture of 1990s and early-2000s suburbia. The cul-de-sacs, lawn chairs, box TVs, and sun-bleached afternoons that defined a slower, analog kind of summer. Each work captures a scene caught mid-moment, set against the backdrop of a long warm day with nowhere in particular to be.
There's a quiet contradiction running through the series: figures with screens for faces, present in body but tuned somewhere else, sitting in the kind of in-between time that childhood summers were made of.
