In Japanese, “hitokoma” (一コマ) refers to a single panel, a fleeting frame that can hold an entire story. In "Hitokoma 2x2," anime fan and fresh Orangehare designer KATO constructs ten such scenes built around pairs: first dates, late-night meet-ups, old friends laughing over ramen. A devoted admirer of Naruto’s animation style, KATO channels that energy into modern streets and izakaya light, where his eye for detail lingers on every hoodie fold, sneaker step, and shared glance. Although each moment is self-contained and open to interpretation (are they old friends or new roommates? Longtime lovers or first date?), together, they sketch a larger truth: intimacy isn’t only in grand gestures, but in the fleeting frames we share with one another, two by two.
The collection consists of ten unique animated shorts available in only ten editions each!
