BATTLE FOR HADA establishes the digital expression of Hada's Dominions and brings to life the 'Portal War' — a brutal conflict in which half the fairies tried to wipe humanity out, while the other half defended them.

By claiming 'Hexes' of land, you can help guide a franchise that already includes a novel, a podcast and a board-game.

How it works

In BATTLE FOR HADA, the fairy-world is divided into Game Pieces (Hexes) representing a map of the various kingdoms. There are 32 'Atlas' Dominions' and 4 'Journey' Dominions. There are 4480 'Atlas' Dominion Hexes available for free, which are divided into Pro-Human, Anti-Human and Neutral camps.

Interactive Storytelling

In the Emerald Anvil storyworld, the Hadeen manipulate a mysterious form of energy called 'Glim' to create wings and diamond-hard blades of light.

The amount of Glim produced by each Hex represents how powerful it is and determines its ability to influence story events.

Each Hex begins with a power of 100, with various factors affecting its final amount Glim: the type of Hex, the biome of the Hex and the 'attributes' of the Hex (0-3 attributes per Hex).

Hada is a planetary disc — a flat, thousand-mile-thick, celestial body. Imbedded in the center of the disc is a green dwarf-star. The top of this star, extending fifty miles above the surface of the disc, can be seen from anywhere on Hada. Almost all Hadeen refer to this as 'The Emerald Anvil' or just 'The Anvil'.

Hada has three distinct zones: an inner ring of blistering desert that surrounds the Anvil, an outer ring of frozen land too cold to support life, and a center ring that spans the spectrum of livable climates, including oceans. The mountain ranges that separate these three environments are 500-mile-wide barriers of peaks taller than anything on Earth.

50,000 miles above the Anvil is the 'Waymoon', a satellite about the same size as Earth's Luna. It regulates Hada's tides and an unchanging cycle of light and dark. Always visible, day or night, the Waymoon's distinctive surface features are how the Hadeen navigate.

The Anvil is the source of all energy on Hada. The Hadeen call the power it emits 'Glim'. It is the underpinning of every aspect of their existence and fuels everything that seems 'magical' to humans: their energy weapons, their crafting and their ability to fly. Hadeen bodies process Glim much like plants photosynthesize sunlight, so they don't really have to eat, except for an herbal broth they call 'Seyo'.

Crafters use Glim to manipulate natural materials to make clothes, tools, and building components. Wielders create blades and shields from it. Twins (or triplets) can use synchronized modulation of Glim to communicate over dozens, sometimes hundreds, of miles.

With all uses of the Glim (except flight) specialization is key. Crafters can't wield and warriors are terrible at making things. The more rare an ability and the more practice it requires, the less of other Glim-skills the average Hadeen will know.

In BATTLE FOR HADA, the fairy-world is divided into Game Pieces (Hexes) representing a map of the various kingdoms. There are 32 'Atlas' Dominions' and 4 'Journey' Dominions. There are 4480 'Atlas' Dominion Hexes available for free, which are divided into Pro-Human, Anti-Human and Neutral camps.
