In this piece, pieces of acetate were used to hide some of the composition. This causes a rhythmic motion of metallic shades of blue, green and orange within the centre of the piece. This work also to comments about the situation I went through during the making process, the feelings and emotions.

My name is Joshua Finlay and I come from the small town of Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, but moved to the big city of Cape Town - to chase my dream of becoming an artist. I achieved my Honours in Fine Arts at Stellenbosch University in 2021, where I focused on ideas of Plasticity and the motion of polymers amongst materials. I document chemical reactions and try to bring to light details usually missed by the human eye. Allowing others to see from my point of view is what inspires me to create.
