Lt. Ursula Vay-Kalerraine is one of the Kintari Military's top energists. Beginning her career aboard the destroyer-class vessel, Blood Reign, Ursula was transferred out of the navy when her talents were revealed while repelling a boarding attempt by a contingent of space pirates. When asked why she had not shone this aptitude during initial testing, Ursula reluctantly replied that she "wanted to see the stars, not get stuck garrisoned defending some colonial backwater."

With her secret out, Ursula was re-tested. The results of this second test, however, are not recorded in her official file. In fact, nothing is recorded in her official file after the request for re-testing. Though there is the possibility she perished in the process, rumored sightings of the warrior suggest a different outcome.

Ursula was picked up by the Void Walkers, a black-ops strike force that officially doesn't exist. That said, it's hard to hide such a unit in a society bathed in data. Though no record of the Empress's Blade exists on a Kintari server, there are dozens of reports within the Maur Federation of unmarked, powerful Kintari psions decimating their battlegroups.

In the end, it seems that Ursula got to see the stars after all.
