Romans where not the only ones having coin based exchange during antic ages.

I did found an Stater out of Billon; Alloy made majoritarly out of Silver 20 to 55 %, Copper and Zinc.

This one is a Stater out of the Redones, a Gallic tribe dwelling in the eastern part of the Armorican peninsula (Modern Brittany, france)

Did Asterix and his friend use the same type of coins to exchange goods for the magical potion ? Who knows !?!

The sure thing about it is that this one was minted from 80 to 50 BC and represent Apollon's head; god of Music, masculine beauty and sunlight.

Approximative value 2021 : 650 USD

Alfred and the coins collection image

He loves coins, when they are old, when they are shiny, even virtual ones. It is not a matter of what he could do with it. More a matter of what they represent. Their stories and provenance.

For some alfred is rich, but he like to say his is just an epicurian that loves great things.

Somethimes he his thinking to all those people that would need some of the coins laying arround his home. But he do not know why. He just keeps them. What would he be without his passion? A BASIC SQUIREL ! No way he is more than that ! He his Alfred the Coin Squirel !

We are going to figure out here what's the purpose of money...
