'Black Caesar', was widely known for his "huge size, immense strength and keen intelligence," he evaded capture from many different slave traders initially. He became Blackbeard's Lieutenant aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge flagship, and raided the Florida coastline. He was thought to have an inlet community base of operations in Florida where he had a harem of over 100 women and captured prisoners alike. After Blackbeard's capture, he was also caught trying to light a powder keg aboard ship. He was captured, tried for piracy, but acquitted. After his acquittal it is thought he was put back in 'possession' in the province of Carolina, or he survived piracy, and slavery to die at the age of 70 as a cooper.
