3D model of the Maschinenmensch (German for "robot" or literally "machine-person" character in Fritz Lang's film Metropolis used as a base 3D structure in Maya, where I created a 3D version of the new satoshi icon male mask and re-colored the android model to match.

Rings of light used to illuminate the character are another element taken directly from Metropolis, which I recreated using Maya. Raw Bitcoin hex code was used afterwards using the combination of a particle effect in after effects to randomize and disperse the code, with a form effect used afterwards to bring the code into the form of the android body, creating the satoshi character. Lightning effects were also added in post 3D render in after effects.

This 3D study is essentially an "out-take" from my "Citadel Paradiso" animation released November 9th on Nifty Gateway. Citadel Paradiso is the first of three pieces in my Novus Moneta Seclorum bitcoin art collection, and the creation of this short 3D scene was part of the creative process involved producing the final artwork, which was abandoned to focus on executing the project using only my two dimensional art in illustrator and fully animating this in after effects, using layers and dynamic camera views to provide a 3D experience.
