Everything used to be so simple. The hero sighed, remembering her favorite place where she used to escape from her daily responsibilities. The jungle, it was dangerous and wonderful, always booming with life. Wondering if it was still as lively as she remembered, she hoped it was.
This is a continuation of the Forest Dungeon piece, with the same main character. There is much more of the story to come, including some prequels and the back-story.
About the art I've drawn quite a few forests in the past month, so I wanted a more fantasy/ alien jungle look this time. I used a few layers to make atmospheric perspective easier. This way I could work on middle and foreground layers separately, adding more details on the go. Lastly I an extra color pass, I used the want door to select areas and I added some contrasting brush strokes.
