Massive Memory envisions the moment in which humans are about to leave the earth for a second life and is a reflection upon how the monuments of our civilization will be preserved and in what shape they will be manifested in the metaverse. Like our ancient ancestors who marked their existence into monolithic stone sculptures, RocketHand Studio believes that in the future we will leave a trace of our current existence—our knowledge and information—through soundwaves and their interrelationship to magnetically generated forms. Each formation of “Massive Memory” is based upon the stimulation of magnetic shapes that morph and change in response to the soundwaves produced from the reading of important texts such as the Declaration of Independence and Buddhist writings.
