From the beginning of time, writers and philosophers have been setting Man apart from the beast with the self-proclamation that we are a Supremely-intelligent, morally-calibrated species. But what is it that makes this partition factual? Honestly, nothing.

The over-exaggerated philosophy of us being the guardians of the planet has rather worked against our pale blue dot. We literally have turned to destroy the earth. Like Carl Sagan quotes, "In all this vastness there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves."

So, where does the buck stop? Maybe the buck stops with us. How about we ask ourselves the question, “What am I doing to help fight this madness?” Before we assume - what difference would one person's decision to alter one's lifestyle do for the betterment of the environment? - I guess we should remember - Be the change you wish to see.
