The People was painted in 2019 with acrylics, spray paint and USD on a 24"x24" wood panel. "The People #0 - Original" NFT was given to the original buyer of the painting. 21 limited edition physical prints were released of this work. The People portrays that bitcoin's strength and resilience comes from people united and not one authority. The piece features a female subject with her eyes hidden by graffiti spray that says, "We Are Satoshi". The animation goes on to reveal the many faces of Satoshi. The background features images of George Washington cut directly from real United States dollar bills with the words "opt out" over their eyes. This represents the Cypherpunks aka the "founding fathers" of bitcoin to which we pay respect for laying the foundation of the incredible system we have today.
