Unlockable: Full rez for printing 6599x5906

When I'm traveling I always carry some pencils and paper, to kill time when waiting for a bus or a train to catch.

In the summer of 2015, I was flying back from Germany.

I was drawing some tubular shapes with shutters, forming eyes. I didn't have time to finish the drawing on the plane, so I continued to work on it at home. It was not what you see now, it didn't have the aviator shades, nor the bucket hat or the colorful shirt.

2019 i found the drawing in my folders, found the drawing and

I was making a story of a scientist that died in an experiment. His colleagues saved his brain and managed to put him in a metal body. He had only one vice, cigars. So he had receptors that catch nicotine and flavor, feeding it directly to the brain.

After that, I got the drawing digitally in photoshop and did some enhancements. Not big ones, just things that you can hardly do on paper.

I don't remember when the idea to turn that piece into a Tribute came to me, but I wrote this on my blog on September 6th, 2019.

At that time I was already streaming almost every day.

"I was talking with a friend of mine about S. Thompson and his work the day before. Then I took a break from the other painting that I'm working on and did this one, the guys that joined the stream loved the idea and the look.

Had half of the canvas-covered with references from the movie "fear and loathing in Las Vegas"

I am fascinated with the work of this guy. Not brave enough to try to substances that he did, but I'm really happy that we're able to enjoy his work.
