In Ukrainian culture, there is a belief that "where a stork lives, happiness will be born there." Since ancient times, it was believed that the stork is a harbinger of happiness and well-being. It has long been believed that happiness and harmony will come to the house where its nest appeared, quarrels will stop in the family, children will grow up healthy, and the owner will have a good harvest in the field. And storks can take revenge for a ruined house - they will set fire to the roof or bring a snake into the yard.

To the one who saved or protected the stork, the bird will thank him a hundredfold - the person will be accompanied by happiness and luck. The one who destroys the nest or raises a hand against the bird itself will be pursued by poverty and failure. For me, this bird is a symbol of indomitability and resilience of the spirit of every Ukrainian. And as in ancient beliefs and now - Ukrainians will protect their homes and lands, and anyone who wants to harm us will regret it!
