We snuck in just before sunrise. It was freezing; I could see my breath. I paced back and forth waiting for the sun to come up. There was an active prison next door, so we had to be quiet. As a dim light began to glow in the windows, we started to walked around and familiarize ourselves with the building. We made our way to the top floor, and were greeted by a grand hallway. Some of the rooms were empty, and some were filled with precious junk. One room had record players, and radios strewn all over the floor and I imagined how much light would have been brought into the patients lives, simply by introducing a little music to their mundane existence.
