Bomb Story: To celebrate The Hundreds San Francisco's 3-year Anniversary, we printed an extremely limited run of T-shirts showcasing an Adam Bomb filled with a photo of the black cavernous rock that made up the shop's interior. At the time, THSF was considered one of the most impressive retail experiences in the world, although admittedly not the most conducive shopping experience! Dimly lit and molded from the caves where the Gold Rush started up north, the design was inspired by Peter Pan's Lost Boys, 2001: A Space Odyssey and the French catacombs.| Background Story: The foundation of The Hundreds is streetwear, and at the foundation of streetwear is the graphic T-shirt. From our beginnings in the Fall of 2003, The Hundreds has relied on the tubular, open-ended cotton of a boxy, blank as our canvas. This is the same T-shirt that Bobby and Ben wore growing up, mixing and matching them 3 for $10 at the local swap meets. The independent skate brands of the 1990s, the streetwear brands of the early 2000s, all co-signed the same cut. Even when the clothing industry chased ringspun apparel or fashion silhouettes, The Hundreds held to the inspirational baseline. Our solid backgrounds are hues from the original swatch card that we built the brand off of.
