Bomb Story: Adam has always had such a family-friendly tone, we wanted to subvert our own brand and envision what he'd look like gory. Gross Out Adam was originally illustrated facing to the left, but keeping in uniformity with Bomb Squad, we turned him the opposite way.| Background Story: Horizontal stripes, especially of the yarn-dyed variety, are a staple of The Hundreds' collection. Earlier on, they were derived from the surf knits and beachgoer patterns that graced the backs of Californians in the 1980s. Examples include Hang Ten, OP, Quiksilver, and Gotcha. In the following decade, independent skate brands and rave companies capitalized on stripes across boxy, baggy tops. Whether they're fatter stripes across neighborhood-sanctioned Charlie Browns or pinstripes across suiting or a baseball jersey, The Hundreds' stripes speak to a spectrum of subcultures.
