I am Lauren Turton and I express myself through self-portrait photography with my project, Find The Hare, which I started over a decade ago. I take photos of herself in a rabbit mask in natural settings to create images that are otherworldly and mysterious. The photos from the series, "Spring Hare" were taken on a dark, dreary winter day when I was visiting my parents at the home I grew up in. I was feeling overwhelmed and that I couldn’t express myself during that visit so in order to take control of my emotions I took photos of myself in their yard which allowed me to take back my expression.
