This was in response to a trend on twitter sparked by a situation where the word “Queen” was used in an attempt to be condescending and rude to a black woman, and people defended it even though the context was offensive.
Myself and a few other black women then started a larger discourse on how many times we had been in similar situations with that exact word. And it triggered me to create something, because of how much mockery is laced with the word in a lot of situations
