EE ISHERWOOD NFT #04

This is the fourth in the series of NFTs for my AUTHOR HELP edition of my novels. As an author and creative person, I always try to add value to whatever I’m doing, so rather than cutting and pasting my book into this text box, I’m stuffing the trunk of this NFT with some cool bonuses.

The obvious deliverable is the signature NFT edition of my book cover. Use it in-game, spray paint it on the side of your car, or use it as a plaything for your pet turtle. The use cases are only limited by your imagination.

I will gift the original buyer and a limited number of future buyers with a retail copy of the digital version of this book. Currently, due to publishing contracts I’m in, I can only send a copy from Amazon. Instructions are provided in the project folder, which is linked as part of the unlockables section.

This is a companion piece to my #01, 02 and 03 NFTs, which are a critique of the first 2000 words of the buyer’s manuscript, a discussion about the story itself, and best practices for selling on Amazon. For this NFT, I’ll be offering feedback on how to be successful as an independent author in today’s market.

If you are the original buyer, I’ll explain via email the things I do to build my business and brand, including marketing and advertising. This works best if you are unpublished, but I might be able to help if you have published works that aren’t selling well. Without a complicated contract it is impossible for me to offer more than my best effort to listen and discuss ideas for two or three hours and give my opinions, which I hope will more than pay you back for the cost of this NFT.

For buyers beyond the first, my offer will depend on the royalty value of the NFT. If you send me your purchase confirmation and the royalty payment is more than a steak dinner, I’ll almost certainly be willing to offer feedback. However, if the world economy has crashed and people are being paid in bottlecaps, I might not get enough in royalties to pay for my time. Also, since this NFT will be around long after I will, there will come a time when you won’t want the opinion of a guy who is doing flashy tricks in his wheelchair at the old folks’ home. For buyers beyond the first, if the royalty payment is above two steak dinners, I will also send you a signed paperback copy. For the sake of being upfront, I only promise the first buyer will get a print book.

I will release five AUTHOR HELP editions of my novels as NFTs. Each book will unlock different features to help new authors get their first work indie published.
