Mat is one of three models at The Starkers Academy, a school for life models. Here, he expresses his creativity through his body, stimulating an artistic dialogue with those drawing him.
Matthew Oghene modelled and performed the character of Mat. He was painted and animated by Leo Crane as part of the multi-award-winning film Nude Triumphant. This NFT presents the character as an infinite animated loop.

The project started in 2013 with an essay by art model Roy Joseph Butler & developed into a multi-award-winning animation, fine art book, monthly art night in London, & now a series of rare NFTs.
The NFTs are painted & animated by Leo Crane. Leo’s work has been exhibited widely, featured on national TV in UK & Brazil and published in the books Contemporary Figures in Watercolour & Portraits for NHS Heroes. He holds MA (Distinction) in Animation & studied painting under Maggi Hambling CBE.
All proceeds from these NFTs support Figuration, a non-profit social enterprise founded by Roy & Leo. By working with communities, schools & creative industries, we reveal the stories that connect you with the world.
