" HARA-KIRI" is Japanese ukiyo-e style illustration.

"切腹" means "HARA-KIRI" or "seppuku", as they say.

"HARA-KIRI" was one of the most serious punishments imposed on samurai.

Since a mere slit in the abdomen takes a long time before death and causes extreme pain to the dying person, an intercessor usually performs the intercession immediately after the"HARA-KIRI".
