A 1945 Sauternes dessert wine made using Noble Rot affected Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. This wine was fermented and aged in French oak barrels before aging in bottle for an extended period of time. It is lusciously sweet but the naturally occurring high acidity of Sauvignon Blanc balances out the high levels of residual sugar. Deep amber in colour, this wine has retained it's fresh fruit flavours but has a complex, tertiary profile of honeycomb, toasted nuts, candied orange peel and ripe stone fruit.
Sweetness: sweet
Acidity: high
Tannin: low
Alcohol: high
Body: medium
