A piece made about the impact I was having on my childhood home during my battle with drug addiction. The smoke is coming out of one room, while the rest of the house has yet to catch fire. This is a mirror image of what was happening as I developed into a drug addict without anyone noticing the smoke pouring from me as I began to slip deeper.
A series created based on my experience hiding my mental illness and drug addiction, the balloons represent the facade I carry with me everywhere I go. Making this series has been an awakening for me that being my true self as an artist is the only way to truly be successful in this space, and that the facade will just bring me down. This series inspired me to be me, even if that’s not always a smiley face
